Introduction
SEOAcad ("we", "us", or "our") connects to your Google Search Console properties to turn Search Console data into a prioritized SEO action plan. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data, our current architecture, and our planned future integrations.
Data Collection and Usage
Account Information
We currently use Firebase Authentication to identify you as an SEOAcad user. When you sign up, we collect your email address and authentication credentials. If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive basic profile information (such as your name and email address) necessary to provision your SEOAcad account.
Google Search Console Authorization
SEOAcad is designed to use authorized Google Search Console data to analyze search performance and generate SEO insights, issues, opportunities, recommendations, and related analysis. To do this, we require read-only authorization to your Search Console properties via a separate Google OAuth connection.
Important Architectural Note
Current Status: Our backend architecture (including Cloudflare Workers, Cloudflare D1 database storage, and persistent encrypted Google OAuth token storage) is currently under development and is not yet live. Any Search Console authorization is strictly read-only and no long-term persistence of metrics is active at this stage.
Third-Party Services
We use third-party services to operate SEOAcad:
- Google Firebase: Used for secure user authentication and identity management.
- Cloudflare (Planned): Future backend operations and database storage will be hosted securely on Cloudflare's global network.
Security and Retention
We prioritize the security of your data. All communication between your browser, our servers, and Google APIs is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Once our full backend infrastructure is deployed, access tokens will be encrypted at rest. You have the right to request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
